Writing Center Visit

The writing center helped me re-organize my writing a lot. I walked in not knowing what order I was doing my quotes, and for the parts where you had to explain how it relates to the thesis, my explanation was a mess. I had Douglas as my writing fellow, and he was great help.

The biggest thing that I learned was to not worry about the little things; this was only my first rough draft, so I had plenty of time to make grammatical corrections and make sentences flow more easily. If I focused on the tiny things, it would have taken me much longer in writing my draft. This helped me so much, and I’m so glad I got this correction. I just let the words come out, and I ended up editing after. This process took much shorter.

  1. I like how you explained that you just need to jot down your ideas on to your original draft and then edit. I notice that you show the reader how your visit to the writing center was a turning point in your writing process.
